Osteomyelitis is the infection in the spine, which is caused by bacteria, fungi or other germs. In this the infection starts from a body part and then spreads through the blood to the bone. People suffering from diabetes are more prone to this disease. It is a rare disease but of very serious condition.
Symptoms of Osteomyelitis:-
Usually, the first symptom faced by an infected person is the pain in the infected area.
Other symptoms of the spine infection may include:-
Fever, irritation, fatigue, nausea, tenderness, redness and warmth in the area of the infection, swelling around the affected bone, lost range of motion, stiffness or loss of use of an affected limb.
