Surgeons while treating patients, many a times face moral issues. The patients condition may be such that conventional treatment may not offer much hope.Such a question comes up especially when one is treating a patient suffering from spinal cord injury. In addition if the same patient is young and staring at spending rest of the life in a paralysed state,it creates a moral dilemma for the surgeon. He asks himself,Can I leave the patient like this or should i try what ever is in my hand..In such situations surgeons have used stem cell Therapy with it working in some cases and not working in some of the cases. This is agreed that efficacy of stem cell is still being tested in the clinical trials
....A surgeon in such cases sh'd not be held guilty as he from his side is only trying his best. The final verdict on this is yet to be out.
