Regular wearing of back braces should be avoided

A back brace or support is a belt that is designed to protect your lower back. It is generally recommended in cases of back pain and also to facilitate strength, improve movement and function and reduce stress on joints and muscles of the lower back during physical activities. Patients with back pain are recommended to avoid aggravating activities, however, if necessary, back braces are a good option to reduce the risk of injury aggravation. Those who indulge in weight lifting also wear such support belts to help support their muscles and to gain more strength while heavy weight lifting. However, it is important to note that constant use of back support or brace is not recommendable as your body can become dependent on it and effects can be vice-versa.
