Symptoms, Diagnosis and Treatment of Spinal Stenosis



Lower Back Pain along with pain or pinching sensation in the legs are the primary symptoms of Spinal Stenosis. In addition to this, unusual leg symptoms like numbness or tingling sensation in the legs are also signs of  this disease. If you notice any of these symptoms, don’t delay consulting a doctor. The doctor may suggest getting an MRI or a CT scan in order to diagnose the problem. Further, with few changes in posture along with the regular course of
anti-inflammatory medicine, this problem can be treated. But, if the earlier mentioned treatments fail; surgery is a viable option.

Smokers are more prone to ‪backaches‬ and other ‪Spinal Problems‬ because ‎cigarette‬ contain ‪nicotine‬ that hardens the arteries, which further restricts the flow of blood to the discs that cushion your vertebrae.

Spinal Arthritis- Most common form of Arthritis

The most common reasons behind continued back pain is Spinal Arthritis. It is also the most common form of arthritis. In this, the vertebrae or the facet joints gets inflammed and witnesses degeneration of the joints creating pain. Due to this problem, a person ability or flexibility to bend decreases. 

 Generally, the back pain increases after waking up in the morning. So, if you experience these symptoms, don't ignore them and visit a doctor.

Fibromyalgia: A rheumatic disease

Fibromyalgia is a lesser known but widely spread rheumatic problem where one experiences musculoskelatal pain along with stiffness and sensitivity or soreness at specific joints.
