One of the Spinal pain is Sciatica. This is characterized by pain in the back, hip, and outer leg.The main cause of
sciatica is compression in the spinal nerve due to degeneration of the intervertebral disc. Lumbar stenosis and few
more conditions are responsible for Sciatica. It can be treated with a combination
of medications and exercises. In some cases where this does not work, epidural injections are also recommended. Ninety-nine percent of the patients are treated
at this stage itself. But roughly one
percent does require surgery. These patients should also not worry much as
surgeries are non-interventionist and
offer the excellent prospect of recovery.

Excessive weight can lead to sciatica
People with
overweight are at higher risk for back pain, joint pain and other problems than
those who are not obese because every pound of your body adds strain to the
muscles and ligaments. In many cases, the
overweight patients can experience
sciatica and low back pain from a herniated disc. This is the result of damaged
discs and others spinal structures in order to compensate the pressure of heavy
weight on the back. So ladies, now you have one more and serious reason to lose
weight.

Though, in many cases this stands true, but if the pain stays for long and is accompanied by symptoms like burning pain, tingling sensation or weakness in leg; it should not be ignored.
